Coming
soon!
This
is an important subject because without client
participation massage therapy cannot work in
the long run. The client has to has a desire to
heal, has to do stretches,
has to eat well and live a better life, have
some fun,
and enjoy the process. If that is in place,
that the healing happens. if not, then the
massage was just a bandaid, and the client will
run into the same problem sooner or
later.
And
that's OK. Maybe we are not ready to move on
and are willing to drag our feet and repeatedly
get kicked in the okole. Maybe. The school of
hard knocks is definitely slow and painful, but
if God seems so scary that we are not willing
to Trust Him much, then so be it.
In
other words, what is required for true healing
is of course, Surrender to God; which
translates into change in habits and lifestyle.
It can be an ouchy experience when looked at
from the point of view of human ego. Why do I
have to give up my rotten boyfriend, my hideous
job, my habit of eating pizza all night long,
my habit of pissing people off by calling them
names? But it can be a joyful liberating
experience when looked at from the point of
view of our Higher Self. Maybe it's ok to get
rid of the brute who calls me names, maybe it's
ok to spend time looking for a better job,
maybe it's ok to go to bed on time, maybe it's
ok to be kind to people, maybe ....
If
we are wise, we will move our feet willingly.
Nobody is asking for super major change. Just
gradual organic change. Just trying our best
and trying to go with the Highest possible. We
don't have to quit our hideous job, dump the
rotten boyfriend, and go vegan today. But we
can make steps to make our life better. Make
the resume, talk to the guy, eat less, go for a
walk.
We
come closer to being True to Who We Are.
